Find your pain
Start where it hurts. The same area can have very different causes, and finding yours is what the first appointment is for.
-
-
-
Shoulder, elbow, wrist & hand
-
Hip, knee, ankle & foot
Injections and procedures
Every injection is placed under live imaging (fluoroscopy or ultrasound) and administered with minimal pain through expert technique. The medication is FDA-approved and made in America.
-
Epidural steroid injection
For nerve pain running down an arm or a leg from a disc or from stenosis. Placed under C-arm fluoroscopy, at the level that is actually generating the pain.
-
Nerve block
Anaesthetic placed around a specific nerve under live imaging — both to establish that the nerve is the one generating your pain, and to interrupt it once it is.
-
Joint injection
Shoulder, knee, hip and the smaller joints, guided by ultrasound so the medication reaches the joint space rather than the tissue around it.
-
Trigger point injection
For the tight, tender bands of muscle that go on hurting long after the injury that started them has healed.
-
Botox injection for spasticity
For muscle spasticity after a stroke or a brain injury, and for chronic muscle tightness that has not responded to therapy.
-
PRP, IV therapy, cosmetic Botox and more Self-pay
From tendon and joint repair through to cosmetic work, at Dr. Yoo Rehab Clinic.
Regenerative injections
PRP, put exactly where it needs to go
Platelet-rich plasma concentrates the repair factors already in your own blood and delivers them into a worn tendon, ligament or joint. The growth factors those platelets carry are what start the repair response off again.
- Aims to restart a repair that stalled, rather than mask the pain
- Ultrasound-guided placement, not a landmark guess
- Drawn from your own blood — no donor material, no steroid
- For tendon, ligament and joint wear that has not settled with therapy
PRP is a self-pay treatment. You get the full price before anything is scheduled.
Testing and imaging
-
Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction study
Measures what the nerves and muscles are actually doing. It is how a pinched nerve, carpal tunnel, or nerve injury after a crash gets proved rather than guessed at. Dr. Yoo is board certified in electrodiagnostic medicine.
-
Musculoskeletal ultrasound
Live imaging of tendons, ligaments and joints in the room with you, with no radiation — used both to find the problem and to steer the needle.
-
C-arm fluoroscopy
Real-time X-ray guidance for spinal injections, so the medication lands at the exact level causing the pain instead of near it.
Injury and accident care
-
Motor vehicle accidents PIP insurance
Whiplash, disc injury and nerve pain after a collision, evaluated and treated by a physician.
-
Work and occupational injuries
Lifting injuries, repetitive strain and falls at work, with the examination and testing a claim needs put on the record.
-
Sports injuries
Sprains, tendon and ligament injuries, and overuse pain — treated with getting back to the sport as the goal, not just the absence of pain.
Rehabilitation and therapy
-
Physical and exercise therapy Partner
Supervised programmes to rebuild strength, range and function in the muscles, joints and soft tissue that were injured.
-
Stroke, brain injury and spasticity rehabilitation
Recovery of movement, balance and function after a stroke or a traumatic brain injury, including Botox for spasticity. Dr. Yoo is board-certified in brain injury medicine.
-
Shockwave therapy
Focused acoustic pulses for stubborn tendon problems — plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, calcific tendonitis.
-
Massage therapy Partner
Hands-on treatment for the muscle tightness and guarding that builds up around a painful joint or an injured segment.
Wellness treatments
-
PRP (platelet-rich plasma)
Your own concentrated platelets, placed into a worn tendon, ligament or joint under ultrasound guidance.
-
IV therapy
Non-invasive vitamin and hydration infusions to deliver essential nutrients directly to your bloodstream.
-
Cosmetic Botox
Offered upon request, Dr. Yoo is certified for and experienced in the cosmetic and/or facial administration of Botox.
Elective care
Premium IV therapy
Fluid, vitamins, minerals and amino acids delivered straight into a vein. Nothing has to survive the gut first, so it is absorbed faster and more completely than anything swallowed.
- Quality ingredients, compounded sterile for each infusion
- Administered with minimal discomfort through expert technique
- From hydration and recovery through to antioxidant support
IV therapy is a self-pay treatment. You get the full price before anything is scheduled.
Insurance, cost, and getting started
The questions people call to ask, answered before you have to ask them.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most major plans. Call with your card in front of you and we will check your coverage before you come in, so nothing has to be worked out at the front desk.
I was in a car accident. What will this cost me?
New Jersey auto policies include personal injury protection (PIP), which pays for medical treatment after a crash regardless of who caused it. Call with your policy details and we will go through your coverage with you.
Is PRP covered by insurance?
Usually not — on almost every plan PRP is a self-pay treatment. We quote the full price before anything is scheduled.
